FEATURES: Full-grip jaws for increased surface contact on large diameter or thinwall parts, to prevent distortion and marring. Also ideal for fixturing non-cylindrical parts. Cast aluminum material is standard, with steel or cast iron available as an option. Steel jaws can be case hardened after machining, or left soft.
SIZES: Available for chuck sizes from 5" to 24" diameter, in standard height and extra high, and also in oversize diameters — see Dimensions page for part numbers.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: The "critical dimensions" shown in the dimension tables must match your master jaw, although outside dimensions can be different. Please check before ordering. When using extra-high or oversize-diameter top jaws, maximum allowable spindle RPM will be reduced somewhat. Please consult your chuck's operating manual.
MATERIAL (ALUMINUM): 319 aluminum alloy, with steel cross key.
MATERIAL (CAST IRON): Class 30 gray cast iron.
MATERIAL (STEEL): Mild steel.
