Manifold Mounted
7500 psi max
FEATURES: Holds clamping pressure until released by a separate pilot pressure line (allows only one-way flow until released). Can be used as a safety device in case the fluid line to the fixture could become damaged. Can also be used to prevent workpieces from floating between opposing clamps. The version shown here is manifold mounted, to eliminate exposed fluid lines. Also available with standard fittings for mounting with exposed tubing.
OPERATION: Flow from B –> A is free flow. Return flow from A –> B is locked until hydraulically unlocked by pressurizing the control port Z. Port L is for a leakage line.
SIZES: Available in one size — see Dimensions page for part number:| | Standard capacity (1200 cu.in./min flow rate) |
MANIFOLD MOUNTING: Fluid enters and exits through four O-ring ports fed by drilled fixture passages. For manifold mounting, the mounting surface must be ground flat to ensure proper O-ring sealing (32 RMS max). Fasten with four #8 or M4 cap screws. Mount in any position, horizontal or vertical. Do not use NPT fittings.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS: Pilot-Operated Check Valves are not suitable for locking double-acting swing clamps (pull-type cylinders). Due to the unfavorable surface-area ratio of these elements, the control pressure is not sufficient for unlocking and dangerous pressure intensification can occur. |
