Manual Shutoff

7500 psi max Single Acting
FEATURES: Allows disconnecting a fixture from its power source before machining. Ideal for pallets and rotating fixtures where a fluid feed line is impractical. The manual-shutoff version shown here is for single-acting systems only. Pallet Decoupler includes Shutoff Valve, male Quick Disconnect, Accumulator, Pressure Gauge, and Pressure-Relief Valve. This compact assembly fits easily on almost any fixture (pressure gauge can be turned horizontal for an even-lower profile).
MODELS AVAILABLE: Pallet Decouplers are offered with a choice of two Accumulator sizes — see Dimensions page for part numbers:| | Compact Accumulator | | | Large Accumulator |
POWER UNIT: Any standard single-acting power unit can be used with this Pallet Decoupler.
OPTIONAL SAFETY SUPPORT: We offer an optional safety support that should be mounted a convenient distance away from the machining fixture. This support has a dummy connection for the female Quick Disconnect, for use after the hydraulic hose is disconnected from the Pallet Decoupler. An integral limit switch ensures that the fixture can be moved only if the hose has been correctly removed from the decoupler and attached to the safety support.
OPERATION: 1. Remove protective cap from male Quick Disconnect on decoupler. Clean coupling components if necessary. 2. Connect hydraulic hose, with female Quick Disconnect, to the Pallet Decoupler. The power unit should be in unclamped mode (depressurized) before connection. 3. Open Shutoff Valve on decoupler to unclamp fixture. 4. After unloading and reloading the fixture, actuate power unit to clamp. 5. After pressure gauge shows proper clamping pressure, close Shutoff Valve on decoupler. 6. Switch power unit to unclamped mode. 7. Disconnect hose and replace protective cap on male Quick Disconnect. Hose can be connected to the optional safety support while not in use.
MOUNTING: Fasten to fixture with two 1/4" or M6 socket-head cap screws. Mount in any position, horizontal or vertical. 1/4" BSPP port. Do not use NPT fittings.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Use Pallet Decouplers only with our power-workholding components, because all components must have zero leakage. The decoupler's Accumulator compensates for pressure variations due to temperature changes. This decoupler is equipped with a Pressure-Relief Valve to protect the fixture and Accumulator from extreme temperature increases.
