3000 psi max Double Acting
FEATURES: Our Hilma Z-series Self-Centering Vises position and clamp workpieces exactly on a defined symmetrical axis, taking account of their contours. High-precision centering with +/-.0004" repeatability. This hydraulic vise provides automatic power clamping with exact force at the push of a button (requires external power unit). Sliding jaws are precision ground to accept standard or custom-made top-jaw tooling. Finest-quality construction for excellent rigidity and durability. Protected against coolant and chips by integral wipers in the clamping slide. Made in Germany.
SIZES: Available in one size, with a 125mm jaw width — see Dimensions page for part numbers. Clamping force at 3000 psi is 6700 Lbs.
OPERATION (MANUAL VERSION): Turn handle clockwise to clamp, counterclockwise to unclamp.
OPERATION (HYDRAULIC VERSION): During initial setup, adjust jaw opening to the workpiece using the center adjustment screw. When fluid pressure is applied to the A (clamping) port, the jaws slide inward to apply full clamping force. Switching pressure to the B (unclamping) port positively retracts the jaws. To clamp in the outward direction, reverse the A and B ports.
ACCURACY: Centering repeatability +/-.0004" in both horizontal and vertical directions.
MOUNTING: Mount in any position, horizontal or vertical. Vises are all slotted for 20mm fixture keys, to provide accurate mounting on T-slotted machine tables. Use two Step Fixture Keys to adapt to a specific table-slot size. Fasten with Vise Clamps holding the bottom ledge. |
