Available with clockwise,
counter-clockwise, or zero° swing.

Version 1
Standard Fittings

Version 2
Manifold Mounting

350 bar max
Single and Double Acting

FEATURES: Arm swings clear for easy loading. Top-flange mini version is an extremely small, economical Swing Clamp that allows low mounting, using either standard fittings or manifold mounting. Sturdy helical-cam mechanism. Arm can be mounted to start its 90° swing from any position within 360°.

SIZES: Available in one size, with a choice of clockwise, counter-clockwise, or zero° swing, single or double acting, standard fittings or manifold mounting — see Dimensions page for part numbers. Available with 45° and 60° swing angles by special order. Clamping force at 5000 psi for single-acting clamps with single arm:
 470 Lbs  (1 series)

CLAMPING ACTION: Swing Clamps are pull-type cylinders where part of the total stroke is used to swing the piston, and the remaining stroke is available as the clamping range. Applying fluid pressure swings arm 90° over work piece then clamps down. Single-acting version has a fast, totally dependable spring return that lifts arm then swings it back 90° for loading/unloading. Optional fluid return (double acting).

OVERLOAD PROTECTION: Due to their small size, these Swing Clamps do not have overload protection; therefore the swing motion must not be restricted in any way. Be sure to adjust the contact bolt so that the clamp completes its full swing stroke and starts its clamping stroke before contacting the work piece. To be safe, use low operating pressure during initial set-up.

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS: Do not exceed maximum fluid flow rate in table. For extended clamp life a simple flow-control valve may be required if the fixture is powered by a high-flow-rate power source and only contains a few clamps. Clamping time should be at least one second.

MOUNTING (VERSION FOR STANDARD FITTINGS): Two options: 1) Screw threaded body into a tapped hole – body must be prestressed by using the optional lock ring, or by tightening against the top flange (use a spacer for exact fitting orientation); 2) Mount through a bored hole in the fixture plate, securing with one or two lock rings.

MOUNTING (VERSION FOR MANIFOLD MOUNTING): Fasten clamp with four #10 or M5 socket-head cap screws.

FLUID CONNECTION: 1/8" BSPP port (two for double-acting clamps). Optional manifold-mounted version has O-ring ports underneath instead of standard ports. Do not use NPT fittings.

CLAMPING ARM: Order clamping arm, screw, and washer separately. Clamping arm includes a contact bolt.

CONSTRUCTION: Piston > Alloy steel, nitrated for wear and corrosion resistance. Housing > Mild steel, nitrated for wear and corrosion resistance. Piston rod wiper > Viton.
