FEATURES: Our Hilma SCS-series Super-Compact Vises are designed especially for 5-axis machining. These short, compact vises have a specially designed guideway between the base and the sliding jaw that allows the use of very high clamping jaws, providing excellent spindle access even when using short tools. The top of the base has key slots that allow easily repositioning the fixed jaw for larger or smaller workpieces. The base is made from special cast steel which guarantees high rigidity and dimensional stability. All sides are hardened and ground, providing a basis for maximum precision. Made in Germany.

OPERATION: Turn spindle clockwise to clamp, counterclockwise to unclamp.
VISE JAWS: Extra-Tall Reversible Jaws are sold separately and are available in three clamping widths. A heavy-duty version (more massive, with less relief for machining clearance) is available for maximum rigidity in high-cutting-force applications.
