Available with clockwise or counter-clockwise swing into clamped position.
|

These Swing Clamps are ideal for clamping two workpieces simultaneously.
|

A spring element is required to keep the clamping arm horizontal in unclamped position.
|

Standard clamping-arm orientation in unclamped position is shown by the diagram above (0º). Any other angle from -90º to +90º is available by special order.

BESONDERHEITEN: These Swing Clamps are designed to clamp two work pieces simultaneously by utilizing a pivot-eye rod end for mounting a custom double clamping arm. The top-flange version shown here allows low mounting, using either standard fittings or manifold mounting. Dual mounting capability: all clamps are ready for either standard fittings on the side or manifold mounting from below.
GRÖßEN: Available in two sizes, each with a choice of clockwise or counter-clockwise swing, double acting only – see Dimensions page for part numbers. Available with 30°, 45°, 60°, or 75° swing angles by special order. Clamping force at each end at 7500 psi:| | 1000 Lbs | | (3 series) | | | 2600 Lbs | | (5 series) |
SPANNBEWEGUNG: Swing Clamps are pull-type cylinders where part of the total stroke is used to swing the piston, and the remaining stroke is available as the clamping range. Applying fluid pressure to the A (clamping) port swings the clamping arm 90° over the work pieces then clamps down. Switching pressure to the B (unclamping) port positively lifts the arm then swings it back 90° for loading/unloading.
REINFORCED SWING MECHANISM WITHOUT OVERLOAD PROTECTION: The safety-clutch mechanism normally incorporated into our swing clamps is omitted in this design to allow using a heavier clamping arm. The reinforced swing mechanism endures a collision of the clamping arm with the work piece during clamping up to a pressure of 1500 psi.
OPTIONAL POSITION SENSING: These clamps can be ordered with an extended piston rod (switch rod) for inductive or pneumatic position monitoring. Order inductive or pneumatic position-control unit separately. Inductive position-control unit is furnished with two inductive proximity switches and two right-angle plugs. Monitoring units can be turned in increments 2x180° (3 series) or 8x45° (5 series).
OPTIONAL METALLIC WIPER: This optional, additional wiper protects the FKM wiper against physical damage, e.g. by hot chips. These Swing Clamps are ready for mounting the metallic wiper, which consists of a radially floating wiping disk and a retaining disk which is pressed onto the existing collar. Clamps can be ordered with the metallic wiper already installed, or the metallic wiper can be ordered separately
DESIGN-HINWEISE: Do not exceed maximum fluid flow rate in table. For extended clamp life, a simple flow-control valve may be required if the fixture is powered by a high-flow-rate power source and only contains a few clamps. Clamping time should be at least one second.
MONTAGE: Fasten clamp with three socket-head cap screws. For manifold mounting, the mounting surface must be ground flat to ensure proper O-ring sealing.
HYDRAULIK-ANSCHLUSS: Two 1/4" BSPP ports, A for clamping, B for unclamping. For optional manifold mounting, use the A and B manifold ports underneath the clamp by unscrewing the sealing plugs and installing two CLR-3000-347-SW O-rings (also install two CLR-810-F Port Plugs in the 1/4" BSPP ports). Do not use NPT fittings.
KONSTRUKTION: Piston > Alloy steel, nitrated for wear and corrosion resistance. Housing > Mild steel, nitrated for wear and corrosion resistance. Piston rod wiper > FKM. |
