CARACTÉRISTIQUES: Bullet-nose round pins and diamond pins are often used together (with the mating bushes shown here) to align two pieces of a fixture. Diamond pins are relieved, to locate only in 1 axis. The pin's shank diameter and the bush's OD are the same size, to allow boring the installation hole in both fixture pieces at the same time, for greater accuracy. The pin's head and shank diameters are concentric to within .0005" TIR. The bush's ID and OD are concentric to within .0003" TIR.
PRINCIPES DE POSITIONNEMENT: When a Round Pin and Diamond Pin are used together, the Round Pin is the primary, 2-axis locator, while the Diamond Pin is the secondary, 1-axis locator. Diamond Pins are relieved to locate only radially around the Round Pin, avoiding redundant location. This prevents binding, yet still maintains high accuracy.
TAILLES: Available with the following head diameters — see Dimensions page for part numbers:| | 1/4" | | 6mm | | | 5/16" | | 8mm | | | 3/8" | | 10mm | | | 1/2" | | 12mm | | | 3/4" | | — | | | 1" | | — |
