Pointed Soft Jaws		Acme Key FEATURES: Pointed Soft Jaws are ideal for small-diameter parts, as well as large-diameter parts, because the point allows closing nearer to the centre of the chuck. Standard point is a 120° included angle (some sizes have a slight flat at the tip). Standard steel jaws can be case hardened after machining, or left soft. Optional aluminium material reduces surface marring, ideal for chucking on finished surfaces. Each top jaw requires an acme-serrated key (order separately). SIZES: Available for chuck sizes from 8" to 24" diameter, in standard height and extra high — see Dimensions page for part numbers. Note: in most cases, two-jaw power chucks use the next-larger-diameter top jaws. DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: The "critical dimensions" shown in the dimension tables must match your master jaw, although outside dimensions can be different. Please check before ordering. When using extra-high top jaws, maximum allowable spindle RPM will be reduced somewhat. Please consult your chuck's operating manual. MATERIAL (STEEL): 1018 steel.
