EDGE CLAMPS

The Edge Clamp at the right opposes machining forces, like a fixed stop (machining forces push toward the right in this example). These clamps with locking support plungers exert relatively little clamping force, for minimal distortion, yet provide a high support load capacity against machining forces. Support force (F_B) is approximately five times higher than the effective clamping force (F_W).
