CARATTERISTICHE: These compact self-centering clamps are designed to center and clamp a workpiece using an exterior or interior contour as a reference surface. High-precision centering with +/-.0008" repeatability. By a clever arrangement of the center of rotation to the hydraulic piston, the resisting capacity of the clamping jaw is approximately three times greater than the clamping force exerted. This provides greater resistance to machining forces without distortion from excess clamping force.

AZIONE DI BLOCCAGGIO: Self-centering clamps can be used to clamp either inward or outward. Applying fluid pressure to the "Extend" port moves the slides outward, applying fluid pressure to the "Retract" port moves the slides inward.

MONTAGGIO: Self-centering clamps have a center locating post and a radial locating pin for precise location and secure anchoring on a fixture. Fasten from above with three socket-head cap screws. Mount in any position, horizontal or vertical.

CONNESSIONI IDRAULICO: Two 1/4" BSPP ports. Do not use NPT fittings.

GANASCE: Clamping jaws are made by the user to suit a specific application, and are precisely positioned on the clamping slide by means of a center pin and a lateral key. The clamping jaws are fastened from above by three socket-head cap screws, and from the side by one socket-head cap screw. CONSIDERAZIONE DI DESIGN: Listed clamping force assumes that force is applied at the minimum height given by the "Y" dimension. If taller jaws are used, clamping force will be reduced somewhat due to frictional losses. For example, doubling the "Y" dimension will reduce clamping force by approximately 6%.
