CARATTERISTICHE: SM-series vices are general-purpose, heavy-duty power vices, ideal for conventional machine tools, especially in combination with the optional Swivel Base. Finest-quality construction for excellent rigidity and durability. These hydra-mechanical vices are manually operated, with final high force applied easily using hydraulic power assist (no power unit required).

OPERAZIONE (IDRAULICO-MECCANICO): During initial set-up, move the sliding jaw into approximate position by moving the hardened steel cross-pin into a different hole in the base. To clamp, turn the crank handle clockwise to move the sliding jaw mechanically toward the work piece. Once resistance is met, further turning automatically disengauges the screw spindle and gradually applies full hydraulic pressure with relatively little effort. Turn handle counter-clockwise to unclamp.
PRECISIONE: Vice bed is flame hardened and ground to a +/-.0004" height dimension.
MONTAGGIO: Swivel Bases are all slotted underneath for 20mm fixture keys, to provide accurate mounting on T-slotted machine tables. Use two Step Fixture Keys to adapt to a specific table-slot size. A centre locating pin on the swivel base accurately aligns the swivel base with the vice. When used without a Swivel Base, fasten with Vice Clamps holding the bottom ledge.
ACCESSORI: The optional Swivel Base is highly recommended for maximum versatility on milling machines. A crank handle is furnished with each vice. Optional right-angle drive unit. |
