HALL-EFFECT SWITCHES

Air-Powered Clamp
with (2) Hall-Effect Switches Installed

Sinking (NPN) Configuration
Sinking (NPN) switches are applied to the negative side of a load. When the switch is actuated, the negative (ground) is connected, completing the circuit.

Sourcing (PNP) Configuration
Sourcing (PNP) switches are applied to the positive side of a load. When the switch is actuated, power is connected, completing the circuit.

FEATURES: Hall-Effect Switches are used with magnetic-piston cylinders for position sensing. These switches are actuated by a magnetic ring installed on the cylinder's piston. As the magnetic ring passes under the switch, the switch's contacts close to provide an electrical signal. Hall-Effect Switches are 3-wire, solid-state devices that are recommended for low current DC loads, such as when interfacing with a programmable controller. Cable lead is 3.6 metres long.
