Base Jaws
with Permanent Magnets

FEATURES: Base jaws are used together with jaw inserts as part of our Quick Insert System (QIS). Base jaws are firmly fastened to the vice using two socket-head cap screws. These precision jaws have two permanent magnets and a centre groove to engage the guide pin of the jaw insert.
QUICK INSERT SYSTEM: QIS is our patented system of downthrust vice jaws, consisting of several different quick-change jaw inserts that mount on a single base jaw. Jaw inserts are held in place by a guide pin and two permanent magnets (V Jaw Inserts, Side-Stop Jaw Inserts, and Soft Blank Jaw Inserts have a bottom groove instead of a guide pin for precise sideways location on the vice guideways). Jaw inserts can be changed in a few seconds. The base jaw and jaw inserts have a matching angle between them to provide downthrust action. This downthrust effect ensures that the work piece is held firmly down against the vice to a precise zero point, providing extremely accurate height location.
