Certification of DFARS Compliance
Carr Lane Mfg. Co.
The Berry Amendment, United States Code Title 10 Section 2533a, requires the United States Department of Defense to purchase certain items, including those made from "specialty metals" such as stainless steel, exclusively from American sources. The follow-up regulations, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Clause 252.225-7014, Preference for Domestic Specialty Metals, prohibit prime government contractors and their suppliers at every tier from incorporating "specialty metals" (as defined in the clause) into military parts, components, and/or end-item deliverables, unless the specialty metals have been melted in the United States or other qualifying country listed in DFARS 225.872-1 (currently Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, or United Kingdom).
Carr Lane Mfg. Co. hereby certifies that all products designated as "DFARS Compliant" in our web catalog fully comply with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Clause 252.225-7014, Preference for Domestic Specialty Metals, including Alternate Clause 1. The vast majority of our products are DFARS compliant, but you must check our web catalog for the current compliance status of any product in question. Click here to see and print an example.
Any product not specifically identified as "DFARS compliant" in our web catalog is either non-compliant or of unknown status, and therefore is not certified to be DFARS compliant. We have obtained and will continue to obtain Certificates of Compliance from our supplier base. Because some information is provided by sources outside of Carr Lane Mfg.
