CARATTERISTICHE: Adjustable Locking Hubs are rotary bearings that provide positive locking at any 10° increment. Once locked, the hub becomes an absolutely rigid joint, able to withstand 80 ft-lbs of torque (5:1 safety factor). Applications include adjustable fixtures, rotating fixtures, welding fixtures, trunnion mounting, adjustable handles, foldable handles, adjustable part trays, adjustable shelves, adjustable racks, adjustable and/or fold-away work surfaces, positive positioning of lighting or nozzles, and collapsible structures. Patent numbers 5,586,363 and 5,689,999. Other patents pending.
MODELLO IN LINEA: Hub extensions line up in the same plane. Total range of movement is 180° — see Dimensions page for part number.
MODELLO DISASSATI: Hub extensions are offset to allow full 360° rotation. Offset hubs should usually be used in pairs, to avoid off-centre loading on a single hub and ensure full strength. Make sure that rotating loads are balanced — see Dimensions page for part number.
MONTAGGIO: The version shown here has mounting flanges that provide two options for mounting: 1) two 1/4"-20 tapped holes allow fastening an object to the mounting flange; 2) two 9/32"-dia clearance holes for 1/4" or M6 screws allow fastening the mounting flange to a surface.
PRECAUZIONI DI SICUREZZA: Avoid any possible pinch points, especially with heavy loads. Do not release the hub unless adequate support for the load is in place. Do not let loads swing freely. When using offset hubs that can rotate 360°, always ensure that loads are balanced in the rotational axis.
MATERIALE: Body > 300-series stainless, electropolished. Pins > 416 stainless steel, heat treated. Release button > Black thermoplastic. DFARS and RoHS compliant. |
