Machinist 2nd Shift - St. Louis

Carr Lane Manufacturing has an excellent opportunity for a Machinist to work at a nationally recognized manufacturer located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Summary:

CNC Machinist is primarily responsible for the set up and operation of CNC production equipment using standard concepts, practices, and procedures.  They are also responsible for minor programming modifications to ensure that productivity and quality goals are achieved.  Works with others to ensure that production schedules are met.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Set-up, operate, and monitor machines during production to ensure optimum productivity and adherence to production schedule. Ensure that machines are producing quality products by performing in-process inspection on machine output. Execute regular and preventative maintenance procedures including cleaning machines and work area daily.

Shift Hours:  2:30 PM- 1:00 AM, Monday-Thursday

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, interpret and modify CNC programs
  • Experience operating CNC equipment in a production facility
  • Experienced in the use of a micrometer, caliper and scale
  • Ability to read a production drawing and determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Proficiency in basic math and use of a calculator
  • Good time management skills
  • Must work well with others
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time, routinely eight (8) hours
  • Be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Be flexible regarding work responsibilities

 

Education:

  • Technical degree in area of specialty or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Must be capable of reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
