Four receiver block types are available to establish proper kinematic constraint. Datum Blocks feature round geometry with no relief in any axis and serve as the primary locating point for absolute positioning. Cut Blocks incorporate a diamond-shaped profile with relief oriented along a single axis, functioning as secondary locating points when paired with Guide clamps to control lateral movement while permitting expansion or thermal growth in one direction. Guide Blocks are manufactured to looser tolerances in all axes and provide freedom with limited clearance. Free Blocks offer clearance in all axes and are suitable only for clamping without locating function.
The receiver block design ensures 3-micrometer locating repeatability when properly seated. Air blow ports integrated into the clamp remove debris from seating surfaces prior to engagement. Receiver blocks can be ordered separately from clamp units to configure pallet systems for specific machining operations or to retrofit existing fixture libraries.
