Privacy & Cookie Policy

1. We will never sell your data. Ever!

Nor will it be shared directly or knowingly by us with any other non-affiliated company.

2. Email Communications with You

No one wants an inbox flooded with useless messages. It is our intent that any communication with you will be purposeful and useful. We will use the information you share with us to communicate to you in regards to your personal activity; this includes shipping notifications, project reminders, and the like. If you opt out of receiving email updates about CLM, we will only communicate with you in regards to your activity on the site or with us, with the exception of survey(s) sent to all of our customers.

3. Customer Data

From time-to-time data about you or your company may be shared with CLM employees and affiliates. It will never be sold or used to promote goods or services not sold by CLMwithout your consent.

4. Internal Use

We will use your non-customer specific data to not only improve the functionality of our business, our website and its contents but also to determine general (non-user specific) marketplace information. This type of non-customer specific information may be shared with any other company or affiliate.

5. Use of Cookies

Carr Lane Mfg. Co. uses "cookies" on our websites to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

6. Ability to be Forgotten

Every customer has the right to be forgotten if they choose. To this end, we will never store any credit card data for any online order, nor do we store any personal data of a visitor who shops online at carrlane.com and checks out as a guest. For visitors who have created an online account who no longer wish to have one, they may request that their online account be terminated by emailing their request to [email protected] and include their name and the email address associated with the online account they wish to close. Terminating an account will eliminate all personal data stored on the website; however, order history will still be retained within our ERP system.

7. Ability to Review Your Data

Every customer has the right to request to be shown the data we store on them. This includes but is not limited to name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and order history. For customers who wish to review their data, they may make that request via email to [email protected], providing their name and email address.

8. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third parties

We will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the law or comply with legal process served on, or required of, Carr Lane Mfg. Co. or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Carr Lane Mfg. Co.; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Carr Lane Mfg. Co., or the public.

If, in the future, we revise this privacy policy, we’ll let our customers know of such changes that may affect them.
