Product Information

Precision angle plate for horizontal machining centers, incorporating our Standard (1/2-13) modular system. One-piece cast iron construction provides superior accuracy, dimensional stability, and vibration dampening. Gusseted back provides excellent strength and rigidity while keeping weight to a minimum. The large working face is finish machined to tight tolerances and qualified to the base, with a grid of multipurpose holes spaced at 2.0000" within .0008" of true position. Universal mounting holes fit almost any inch or metric slot spacing. The Angle Tooling Plates shown here fit 400mm square pallets.

Application Information

Angle Tooling Plates are ideal for holding extremely large parts near the center of the pallet on a horizontal machining center.

Multipurpose Holes (Standard)

Each multipurpose hole on a Standard System MF40 tooling plate or block has a 1/2" ID bushing on top with a 1/2-13 threaded insert below it. Multipurpose holes are located in a precise 2.0000" grid pattern, spaced within ±.0008 inches of true position. Locating Screws, with a precision ground shoulder, are used to locate and fasten at the same time.

Mounting

Dual mounting capability allows both JIS mounting (locating from two reference edges) and DIN mounting (locating from center and radial holes) with excellent accuracy. Material

Body > Gray cast iron, ASTM class 45. Bushings > High-carbon steel, heat treated. Threaded inserts > Steel. Protection Plugs > Plastic.
