To use a standard Rotary Valve Coupling, the table must rotate through exactly the same angle during each indexing movement. Turning the coupling requires additional table-motor starting torque, especially when clamping automatically during indexing. Maximum rotational speed is 10 RPM. Use either standard hydraulic fluid (CLR-2-FL) or other hydraulic fluid of the viscosity classes HLP 22, 32, or 46. Contact factory regarding the use of any other hydraulic-fluid types. Fluid must be clean (10 micron or better nominal filtration). Do not turn the coupling while dry, even before installation (fill any unused ports with fluid before plugging). Although couplings are well sealed, an external cover may be necessary to protect the bearing surfaces in cases of extreme dirt and grit. While the load stations are unclamped, there is a slight return-line internal leakage rate; therefore installing an accumulator is strongly recommended, especially above 3000 psi.
