Pneumatic Toggle Clamps are similar in design to standard hold-down toggle clamps, but they are operated by a double-acting air cylinder rather than manually. The toggle linkage provides high holding capacity and insures positive mechanical locking even if air pressure falls. Pneumatic Toggle Clamps are optionally available with position-sensing capability, incorporating a special air cylinder with a magnetic piston ring. This allows monitoring cylinder position with either a Hall-effect switch or reed switch.
