The Clip Buddy™ Protective Boot is a form-fitting barrier designed to reduce contamination and extend service life. Molded from soft-durometer synthetic rubber, the boot fits over the jaws and upper body of the Clip Buddy™, shielding internal components from most particulate intrusion when the jaws are closed.

Suitable for both temporary and permanent use. During machining or shaping of anvils — including grinding and other finishing operations — the boot is designed to prevent debris from entering the mechanism. It is equally effective as a permanent guard in production environments where plastic shavings, dust, or fine particulates may accumulate and be pushed into the body. 

The boot cannot be installed if anvils are already mounted to the jaws. However, if installation with anvils in place is desired, the boot can be field-trimmed and removed after anvil installation without disassembling the unit.

Two versions are offered:

Standard Boot – symmetrical design for use with the standard Clip Buddy™ configuration.

Angle Mount Boot – asymmetrical version that accommodates the geometry of the Angle Mount accessory.

This accessory is recommended wherever particulate ingress could impact Clip Buddy™ function or reliability — whether during setup, modification, or continuous operation.
